Meet our CEO, Mark, a visionary leader with a profound commitment to making a difference in the lives of seniors and individuals with disabilities.

Mark's journey in the healthcare industry began in October 2015 when he transitioned from the Air Force to become the Director of Operations at Primecare Home Care Services, Inc. In this role, he oversaw the day-to-day operations of four offices, providing expert in-home care solutions for seniors and individuals with developmental disabilities across 59 counties in middle Georgia.
His dedication and expertise quickly led to his promotion as the Chief Executive Officer of Primecare and its sister company, Heritage Oaks Adult Day Center, in April 2017. Mark's passion for innovation and excellence prompted him to establish 'The Group, LLC' in November 2017, a home care consulting agency that offered operational effectiveness, marketing expertise, and medicaid billing efficiency to smaller home care agencies in Georgia.

Recognizing the need for a new standard in case management, Mark secured a license from the Georgia Department of Community Health in February 2020 to establish 'A Step Above Case Management.' The name itself reflects his commitment to going 'A Step Above' to manage the care of low-income seniors and individuals with disabilities who qualify for medicaid waiver programs.
